POSITIVE IMPACT

Community Benefit

At Stream BioEnergy, we believe in making a positive impact on the communities in which we operate.

Our Community Benefit Fund supports local projects, initiatives, and organisations that contribute to sustainability, education, and community well-being.

Sustainability goes beyond delivering renewable energy and food security, it’s about preserving and enhancing the natural environment for future generations. That’s why we support projects that promote long-term environmental, social, and economic sustainability.

We prioritise projects that align with our core values, including:
  • Environmental Projects
  • Community Services
  • Recreation, Sports, Arts, and Culture
  • Education and Skills Development
  • Medical and Health Assistance

Supported Projects

Broughshane Environment Waterfowl & Wildlife Trust

Broughshane Environment Waterfowl & Wildlife Trust is a beautiful park with a pond, dedicated to enhancing biodiversity by caring for a remarkable variety of waterfowl species, including majestic black swans and striking guineafowl. Free to visit, the park regularly welcomes schools and local groups, providing a fantastic opportunity for the community to connect with nature and learn about conservation efforts.

Good Morning Ballymena

Good Morning Ballymena is a wonderful charity offering a free telephone service for adults over 60, ensuring that elderly neighbours receive regular friendly calls to check in on their well-being.

Run by dedicated volunteers, the charity goes beyond phone calls - offering transport to medical appointments and organising social lunches, dancing events, small trips, raffles, and thoughtful gestures like Easter eggs or birthday cards.

Their incredible work has earned them multiple awards and continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of many people.

Scullery O'Tullagh Allotments

Scullery O'Tullagh Allotments is more than just a place to grow vegetables - it’s a vibrant community space that welcomes various local groups, including senior citizens, Ballymena Running Group, Castle Tower Senior School, or Ballymena South Community Cluster. These groups engage in agricultural activities and take part in community events, fostering connection and sustainability.

Partnering with the Ulster Farmers Union for MND Awareness

Stream Bioenergy supported the County Antrim branch of the Ulster Farmers Union at their annual event, contributing to fundraising efforts for the Motor Neurone Disease Association Northern Ireland. The association supports people affected by MND, their families, and carers.
